A BIZARRE bust of Elon Musk has been paraded around the streets of Texas on a Cybertruck but its owner insisted there was a good reason behind its weird look.
The bronze statue of the tech mogul surprised social media users by its unlikeness but the driver explained this was done on purpose.
The giant cinderblock statue made its way through the scenic town of Brownsville, on the border with Mexico, in mid-August, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
Tesla's newest product, the angular Cybertruck, carried the artwork to its final destination which was a rented plot close to the CEO's SpaceX production and launch facility.
Thoughts on the new vehicle were overshadowed by online commentary over the odd bust on board.
Several people on X deemed the statue to be weird and claimed it looked nothing like the tech billionaire.

"Look at the mural, Im dying. How weird is this?" one person wrote.
A French tech investor named Louis XXII admitted to driving the truck and spending top dollar on the sculpture, according to ARTnews.
The Frenchman explained that the statue's unlikeness to Musk was intentional and an attempt to draw attention to a viral meme.
This meme came from a bad drawing of Musk posted on Reddit six years ago.
“We had the idea to to bring something into life that would be more striking and maybe even crazier and funnier,” Louis XXII said.
Louis XXII is a cofounder of crypto business ElonRWA which has tokenized a "real world asset meme" and turned the infamous image into a NFT, according to Fast Company.
“The statue is not linked to the valuation of this [ElonRWA] token,” he told ARTnews.
“It’s just a funny way to represent this meme in other ways.”
The tech entrepreneur revealed that he spent thousands on the cinderblocks and carving of the bust.
He shared that these costs did not stop there a painter was hired to make the statue bronze and he rented the plot of land for $300 a month.
About the Tesla Cybertruck
With either the single or tri-motor configuration, the Cybertruck is more than just funky looks and sharp angles. The EV pickup boasts 600 horsepower with the dual-motor configuration, and the tri-motor goes up to 834 horsepower. With 100 percent torque at zero RPM due to electric motors, the truck can reportedly tow up to 11,000 pounds.
The range, despite the heft, is an average of 340 miles, and the Supercharger network can add between 128 and 136 miles within just 15 minutes of quick charging. Zero to 60 times for both the dual and tri-motor variants are under four seconds.
While the starting price for the dual and tri-motor configuration is steep at $81,895 and $101,985, a rear-wheel drive version is coming in 2025 that will start at $62,985.

The statue made its debut at an event called ElonDay where around 250 people met to celebrate the tech mogul.
The angular Cybertruck is growing in popularity, but Louis XXII's car looks nothing like other vehicles in the American market.
Tesla's latest product is typically wrapped in bulletproof silver sheet metal panels with jagged body lines, light bars, and a massive windshield wiper.
But this particular Cybertruck is even more attention-grabbing.
This car has been decked out with several aftermarket upgrades.
